This Chardonnay is Tormaresca’s signature label from its namesake estate. Being a symbol of Apulia’s intrinsic nature, with its high-quality standards, is a source of pride for Tormaresca and its close connection to the territory is made evident through the etymology of the name itself. “Tormaresca” is a creative name that evokes the 580 historical fortified towers built to defend the Apulian coastline from pirates that for centuries threatened the local populations. These same invaders proved to be sources of important cultural contributions that left their mark in the area.

Straw yellow colour flecked with green; typical of the grape. Forward aromas of apple and citrus, especially grapefruit, are accompanied by subtle bitter notes of hawthorn, acacia and elderberry blossoms. Long and intense.
Considered one of the best white wines for fish, this wine will partner beautifully with either sea food or with poultry and rabbit. Best enjoyed 3-4 years from harvest.
Named after the grapes in the blend (Negroamaro, Primitivo and Cabernet Sauvignon), this easygoing, savory wine doles out juicy blackberry, black currant, black cherry and a hint of licorice with soft, round tannins.

The manual harvest in early October is followed by vinification: forty-days of maceration at controlled temperature and the subsequent malolactic fermentation. The process is completed by a twenty-four months ageing in big oak barrels and a further twenty four months in bottle.
The colour is typically red garnet.
The aromas are complex and elegant, ranging from ripe red fruit and spices, until toasty and ‘tar’.
The flavour is gently tannic, austere, full and velvety.
This great bottle is ideal with important first courses, roasts, game and hard cheeses, but can also be a great sipping wine after dinner.
