– Sweet and sour – red fruit jam and bitter cherry, with tickling fizz

– Nicely crazy lightly sparkling red, with a sour cherry and red fruit jam nose, that plays out on the palate too, with a slightly herbal back-note. It reminds us of a light Lambrusco Rosso. A real sweet & sour character to it, with great freshness. The new vintage’s juice was blended with previous vintage base wine whilst still fermenting. Primary fermentation finishes in bottle producing a lightly fizzy wine of between 2 and 3 bar pressure. Ancre Hill Estates is located in the Welsh county of Monmouthshire. – Wild strawberry, red cherry and tart redcurrant freshness make this an outstanding choice for a summer’s afternoon outdoors. Made from the final 10/15% out of the press from their Blanc de Noirs production, the skins left on juice for 4-6 hours. This was followed by fermentation in stainless steel and concrete egg, then aged on gross lees for 6 months minimum, with natural MLF, no filtration or fining. – Delicate red berries on the nose, real zing and energy on the palate

– A beautiful balance of delicate red fruit and brioche notes from the 4 years lees ageing, this pale coloured sparkling rosé with a fine mousse has real zing and energy to it, feeling much younger than its vintage would suggest. The wine was fermented in stainless steel and concrete with an elevage of over 12 months for the base wine, then ageing for 4 years on lees. With such a marginal weather, who would have thought Wales could produce wine?! This family estate went even a step further: they adopted biodynamic practice in 2012 to protect the integrity of the land and obtained the Demeter certification in 2013. The Triomphe grape, originally from Alsace, is well-suited to the area and gives pure raspberry and red cherry aromas.  It’s very juicy and quaffable and perfect on a hot summer day.
